Europe: The land of food, men, & heat

Greetings America! I am so happy to be home! I had the lovely chance to travel to Italy and Greece for the last 3 weeks and boy was it a wild ride! From riding a donkey  in the hills of Santorini(apparently it is technicaly a mule?)to riding a gondala in beautiful Venice it has been amazing. However, with that there are some facts about Europe that I would like to clarify:

1.) You throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain and you meet boys. TRUE.
2.) You wear fashionable clothes in Europe. FALSE.
Explanation: It is hotter in Italy and Greece in June then in the African desert in the summer. You might as well go naked.
3.)Cooking with Olive oil makes you thinner. FALSE.
Explanation: I have never been so fat in my life.
4.) Your perfectly groomed hair flows in the midnight wind while you sit in the arms of a handsome Greek boy on his sail boat. FALSE & FALSE.
Explanation: Hair dryers and hot Greek boys with boats do not exist in Europe. Thank you for getting my hopes up Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
5.) Greeks throw plates on the ground and scream "OPA!" FALSE
Explanation: How I wish I saw this occur.

So there you have it folks. I conquered the Europe thing and I loved it. I met new people, ate a lot, and sweat a lot. How could life get any better?

Simply Stripes

(Dress: BCBG Maxazria/ Necklace: Dillards/ Shoes: J.crew)

This weekend I had the opportunity to attend my senior dinner dance prior to my high school graduation (which is tomorrow! Can I get a "Woot! Woot!"?!) So rationally, I went on the hunt for a new dress.
My mom and I found this lovely little number on accident at a store I would NEVER usually go by myself; BCBG Maxazria. I was pleasantly surprised to find this vintage looking lace dress for a lovely 30% off. Once they threw in the discount I was sold! This dress is not only great for my dance, but for casual events such as church/the non-existent tea-parties I would like to go to as well!
Side note: Shout out to my wonderful friends Madelyne, Michelle and Angela. You guys all look bangin and I have loved high school with all of you! Bring on the real world ladies!
Also- Shayna I love you too-Since 3rd grade you have been my best friend! Thank you for all the good times!

The deadly genetics of a young fashionista

HELLO BLOGGER PEOPLE! I am so excited to put my foot into the wonderful world of bloggers. So here I go.
Today I wanted to start out with a little bit of how this all came to be.
As a young girl my momma taught me right. I was dressed perfectly (though looking at the pictures now I look like a 90's baby fool) but to give the woman some credit, she did good. I can remember watching her put on lipstick and blow dry her hair with the perfect outfit to match. And like any other 5 year old, I set out on the quest to become just like my mother.
And this is what I learned:

1.) A good pose can make any outfit look good. (Though I will give credit to this lovely sued ensemble for Nordy's added a nice touch.)

2.) Accessories are key to any quality outfit choice. It's the butter to my roll!
3.) A good dress can go a long way. This dress went to more nutcrackers, church services and dress up parties then known to man.

And this is just the start of it all. May the force be with both you and me.
